This is a landscape. I feel that it is morning. These are morning colors to me, when blue is bright and vivid; while earth tones are muted like color holes. What a fun painting. I was still putting gel medium on as a coat after the painting was complete at this time. I was experimenting with putting different images and textures in the dried medium, to suggest an alternate image at different angles. I now mix the medium into the paint, like normal people. The affect is much smoother, but loses some textural interest.
